It's been a topsy turvy couple months, but now life is settling down and we're learning to like our new hometown of Newmarket, NH.
I've discovered that most of southern NH is a swamp, and there are many trails in and around the swampiest bits and pieces. All the towns seem to be on the high ground.
It was an exciting inaugural APEX adventure race at the end of May; such a stunning setting for a race! Check the race website out for more about this "sister race" to Untamed over in Europe.
On the topic of Untamed New England . . . we're firing up a new Facebook page for the race so head over there and Like it as we're doing a promotion through this week where we will randomly give some sweet new Untamed t-shirts away to some of the first Likers on Facebook. The 2012 race will have details posted later this summer, but it's looking like mid-June 2012 for the 4th edition.
If you're in the mid-Atlantic area this weekend, there's a 12-hour race going on where you have a chance to win a free entry to Untamed New England 2012 through HRAdventure . . . technically, it's a prize for winning the HRAdventure series this year, but you can take a step towards that by earning points at the race this weekend. We dragged the lead organizer with HRAdventure, Chris Roberts, over to Switzerland last month to assist with the operations for APEX and he was a big help -- thanks Chris, and good luck on the race this weekend!
