Here is a link to the results from this Saturday; it turned out to be a dramatic race with many fast endurance athletes taking part. We were a very international bunch, and while most participants currently live in Switzerland the list of home nations includes Sweden, South Africa, Ireland, Germany, USA, and Great Britain. There was even a racer who joined us while on holiday here in Switzerland for a few weeks -- not a bad way to spend a day exploring the forested ridges between Zurich and the Alps!
Staffan, a Swede who has recently relocated to Basel, won the race logging 46 km and nearly 1500 meters of elevation gain over the 5 hours he spent on the course. Staffan is also the director of the Swedish Adventure Racing Association so he knows his way around an endurance/navigation event!
In other news, Jill and our dog, Bolivar, won the all-important canine division making it two in a row for them!
