Maps for the CRUX Race

When Mark Dowsett (@mjdowsett on Twitter) came to me and first suggested a winter run across the Zürich Oberland, I thought it sounded like a great way to see this part of Switzerland that I don't often get to.

2 months later and we're 1 week away from the event; it's expanded in magnitude to over 20 runners and we gave it a fun name in the CRUX Winter Ultra.  Nobody will ever accuse me of only going half-way when it comes to event organization!

Here are low-res versions of the maps for the event, along with annotated bailout options.  Runners will get higher quality colour copies at the starting line Saturday morning.  I have never set foot on the trail we're running, but Mark tells me it's either muddy and tree-strewn or icy with packed snow (depending on the weather).  We'll see how the 54 kms go this coming Saturday!
