Here's a fun initiative we put together with our friends at Ultimate Direction: the AR World Championship Fantasy Challenge.
The concept is a bit like fantasy sports: you pick the top 10 finishing teams at the 2009 AR World Championships (official team roster is here). You earn points for each team that you correctly predict will finish in the top 10; you earn more points for placing teams in their exact top 10 finishing position.
10 points for every top 10 finishing team that you pick; 20 points for each team you correctly place in their precise finishing order -- now that's a real challenge!
We've done a variation on this for some other adventure races, including one or two of our own Untamed Adventure events (where our race staff make some picks), but this is the first time we formalized it and made it public . . . it's also got a nice prize pack from Ultimate Direction on the line. So check out the Fantasy Challenge and have some fun.
Note: your picks must be entered before the race starts this Sunday morning Nov 8, so don't delay. After the race begins, we'll post all the predictions publicly and see how well everyone does.
