Just posted my latest previewing the 2010 AR World Series, specifically the UK race, over to Adventure World Mag online. I left a lot out of that story, as I had a good email exchange with the race director and he cleared up some misconceptions about their race format as compared to the one in Portugal -- and used famously (or infamously?) at the 2009 World Champs last November.
As I stated in my piece attempting to explain the format in Portugal, the concept wasn't the issue with the course; instead, it was the Portuguese organization's assumption that all racers already understood the format and the poor communication surrounding it that made for a confusing race in many regards. The UK race organization is in a totally different mindset with their course and recognize the shortcomings of the execution in Portugal, so I'm certain they've got a good event in the works for late Summer.
