So the New England race is filling up, and I never want to announce a race sell-out without giving some warning that the sell-out is fast approaching. The days are gone when I could just post something to this blog and consider the community "notified," however, as there are now FaceBooks, Twitters, and live race websites where we share this sort of information.
In the few days it has taken me to update the various communication channels we have, we've gone down from having 5 open team spots to just 2 now. This blog is the last to get the news, for no particular reason. Late last week, I started circulating the message about having just a handful of team spots remaining and we're already down to space for just 2 more teams.
I think everyone started paying attention to their Summer calendar at about the same time, and hence the surge in registrations.
Just in the last week, I've been in touch with several other teams who are considering signing-up; there isn't room for all of them, so it will come down to who follows through the quickest.
Scanning down the list of registered teams, we have the 8th, 11th, and 12th place finishers from PrimalQuest 2008 in attendance. I know of at least 2 more teams that finished HIGHER than 8th at PQ last year who are interested in racing, but we'll have to wait and see who actually commits to the race.
Regardless, it's going to be a full race . . . and a fun race . . . and a fast race this July in New England!
