Taking place April 18, 19, & 20, soloists and teams will experience a revolutionary event:
orienteering and trekking for 3 stages over 3 days in Switzerland, with participants recuperating and relaxing
each evening in the quintessential Swiss town of Luzern, Switzerland.
Each stage will highlight a different region and offer unique challenges; each evening
you can sleep in a comfy bed. Navigation, self-sufficiency, and travel on foot will be the three consistent features of the stages.
Participants could encounter snow at the higher elevations, so hiking boots and even snowshoes could be useful -- but these
are not required! Your gear selection, as well as your routes and intensity, are totally your own so if you want to
stop and grab some
apfelstrudel at that mountain chateau you just past, feel free -- in fact, we encourage you to
experience the wonderful Swiss countryside in as many ways as possible.
We'll kick each stage off in the morning after breakfast, providing checkpoint locations and maps to participants;
it will be rogaine style so both speedy and slower participants should be finished by 5 PM each day --
we'll also provide "bail out" train and bus options should the need arise. To get to and from the stages,
we'll take trains, buses, and even a ferry from our base in Luzern.
Evenings can be spent with friends and family, or carousing with the other Revolutionairies.
An overall event winner will be declared and awarded the Untamed Revolution Bell, but we're certain that
just to participate will be "winning" enough!
If this event has captured your interest, but you can't join us in April of 2008, please
contact us and
we can get you in early on the next Revolution.
