After an award winning debut edition in 2008, the Untamed New England Adventure Race
joined with premiere races from around the planet in the Adventure Racing World Series (AR World Series).
The Untamed New England Adventure Race returned in July 2009, this time
as the only North American race in the prestigious global Series. Podium finishers at
Untamed New England battled for over $12,000 in prizes and qualified for the World
Championship race being held in Portugal in December 2009.
The 2010 edition was the wildest edition of this race ever, with some teams even
getting lost and ending up in Canada (and they forgot copies of their passports [which were required
race gear] and they were from Ecuador -- US border patrol was not impressed!).
Plans for the next edition of the Untamed New England are in the works, with the race date set for
June 19-24, 2012.
The Untamed New England Adventure Race is 4 days of adventure racing in America's great
Northeast region! Teams will bike, run, paddle, climb, rappel, raft, and orienteer through
a demanding course.
